Ford Fiesta 1.25 Ghia 5d (1999/V) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy and has a lot of equipment for a small car.
Costs
Cheap parts but insurance and fuel cost's a lot more than it should. Only does about 36MPG.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles nicely but it's a bit slow.
Performance
Ok for the engine size but you always wish it had more power.
-
Living with it
Reliability
The thermostat went 2 weeks after I bought it. Rust everywhere. Electric windows play up and so does the central locking. More like a Renault than a Ford.
Image
Better looking than the MK4 and MK6 but nothing special.
Comfort
Leather seats are comfortable and the air con is nice in the summer.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks on this model. But they are all rubbish.
Service
Don't care about your problems and the parts are overpriced.
