Economy
Value
I did find other cars had more features, but not all had the nippy revvy zetec engine.
Costs
Very easy to service and parts are cheap.

On the road
Driving
One of the best superminis in its class for a 5dr. The slightly longer wheel base makes for better handling on the long country roads. All in all, a pleasure to drive.
Performance
You can not ask more from a 1.25cc engine. It beats the rival Corsa and Clio. The engine is restricted to 5000 revs in 5th. A superchip under the bonet has really brought the car to life. Only adding 6bhp but giving it a bit more grunt. Would beat most.

Living with it
Reliability
If running at low fuel, the micro fuel filter gets blocked very quickly. Other then that the brakes are good but the rear suspension runs to high and need replacing every 40,000 miles.
Image
Get a model, smack a Zetec-S kit and you have a fine looking car. It won't turn heads like it use too.
Comfort
Could be better.

Security and Service
Security
The general security of the car is good. I added a Clifford alarm, which gave remote centrol locking and boot release.
Service
Ford aren't the best when dealing with suspension failure with the car and rejected the failure 3 times before admitted it needed changing.
