Economy
Value
Cheap car to buy.
Costs
Petrol ok, servicing is ridiculous.

On the road
Driving
Holds the road well, but gives no pleasure to drive.
Performance
Don't try uphill overtaking! Slow in every way. Quite dangerous when pulling onto busy roads. No power when you need it. Buy a Fiesta Zetec, not this!

Living with it
Reliability
70k on clock, 3.5 yrs old. Last serviced cost £550. Needed thermostat and lots of parts that should last longer than 3 yrs! Now the radio cassette has broke.
Image
Alloys are the only nice thing about it! Very basic. Has no rev counter or temp gauge. Radio only picks up FM. Stuff that should be standard!
Comfort
I'm 6""1, plenty of room in front. Seats saggy and uncomfortable. Mine has 70k on clock and feels worn. Fabrics and plastics don't seem to last well on Fiestas.

Security and Service
Security
Immob as standard. Not really worth nicking.
Service
Expensive and badly done by Ford garage. Brake discs warped after 3k miles.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Noisy, rattly, coarse. Buy the 1.25L Zetec instead.
Other
One of the worst cars i've ever owned. Unreliable, slow and expensive to fix. I'm buying Japanese next time.
