What does this car say about you?

Its not a very young car and should not be driven by people under 30. Has a fuddy duddy image unless in the 1.6 zetec s guise. Should not be bought by new drivers costs incredibly high and seriously uncool car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think its nice but they dont drive it, its an old design and is ageing quickly. Dash looks poor, car is not very attractive although has some decent features over lesser models.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No definately not, insurance and road tax costs are atrocious as well as the unrefined and slow engine. Would need a car with better equipment, 51 plate and no remote central locking, ford seem to be unable to create cars with relatively common electrical gadgets.

What are you likely to buy next?

I am looking at either ibiza's or corsas as insurance on my model is very expensive as is rax, would be able to insure a focus 1.6 for the same price or a 1.2 SXI corsa for group 3 half that of my fiesta.

Did you get a good deal and why?

The deal was ok, i checked around for prices and got a good deal on this model which has a decent spec.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Was my first car to avoid sharing with my mother.

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was ok as well although he did fail to mention the high tax band and insurance group for such a small car.

What's it like to drive?

Good handling, but really lacks power for uphill climbs or for overtaking, feels very sluggish on the motorway or when hard pushed. Feels rough over bumpy roads. Is noisy when at motorway cruising speeds or when accelerating hard. Steering feels good and not too light.

What's it like to park?

Very easy to park, all round vision is good and rear window is large.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing major, only a wheel balancer. Reliability is generally good although can be prone to sluggish start ups on cold mornings.

What's most practical about your car?

Good all round vision, slim A pillars, good for reverse parking. Decent sized boot for an individual or small loads.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

CD player is good on such a dated car. The sunroof is also good, as are the supportive and comfy height adjustable front seats.
