I recommend having the zetec version if you want more power and fun. But for everyday basic use the 1.3 pushrod engine is fine and has never missed a beat. Great for a first time car and ford parts really cheap. Look out for rust, we have been very lucky with ours.
How reliable do you find the car?
I brought this car as a cheap run around and it has never let me down. My boyfriend now has this car now that I have a new car and it has never let us down in all the years we have owned it. Few minor issues- water leak but got new part and garage fixed it and rear light bulbs often need replacing twice a year but at £2.00 each and easy to do. Had rear suspension done a few years back also. All things you expect when you have covered loads of miles.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
