Ford Fiesta Hatchback (1999-2002) interior, tech and comfort

Everything’s laid out logically, but the innovation of the Focus is missing and Fiesta’s interior looks a bit dated. Visibility is helped by Fiesta’s small shape, making slip roads and junctions a little safer and it is easy to get comfy – the driving position fits most people. Taller drivers could use more leg and headroom, but long journeys shouldn’t prove too unpleasant.
There’s plenty of room in the front and the seats are comfy and supportive on most models. Rear legroom and headroom is cramped, which is fine for younger kids, but not so good for grown-ups. The air conditioning (optional on base-spec models, but standard on newer, higher-spec models) does a good job of ventilating the cabin in the summer months.
