What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 38 - 62 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Although service intervals are short by modern standards (10,000 miles), servicing is simple and quite cheap. Most engines are fuel-efficient and won’t hit you too hard in the pocket (the 1.8-litre TD E-Diesel returns 62mpg), and insurance is always competitive on Fiestas (group four for 1.3-litre models).
Has been very reliable, but many are bought by owners who don’t understand maintenance. Beware neglected cars at any mileage. FSH showing a service every 12 months is essential.
