Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I can;t afford to be choosy about the car i buy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it's tiny inside! One of my friends commented that the rear seats would only be suitable for lieutenant dan from forest gump.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Doubtful i'll ever buy a ford again let alone another fiesta! the build quality is shocking.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something german, possibly a 1 series diesel as it offers running costs on a par with the fiesta but without the drawbacks.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The one thing about this car that it does really well is handling! It really is fun to chuck about on the b-roads. However... The 1.4 engine need to be worked HARD to make any kind progress on the road. The sporty suspension set up has ruined the ride and it bangs and crashes over pot holes like mad sending shockwaves right through the cabin. The road noise at motorway speeds is shocking, venture much above 60mph and you'll be hard pushed to hear the radio. If your tall (I'm 6 ft) you'll struggle to find a comfy seating position as the stearing wheen adjusts for rake only. If I adjust my seat so the stearing wheel is at the right distance my legs are buched up close to the pedals and my left knee touches the dash. There is no where to put your left foot when not operating the clutch.
What's it like to park?
Easy

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Probably quicker to list what hasn't gone wrong!!! It's needed a new suspention track rod. Pieces of external trim have fallen off more than once. The front drivers side headlight makes a noise like a 90's modem pretty much constantly when on main beam. Also it makes a noise like you've driven over a manhole cover is you go over speed humps, even at the slowest speeds!
What's most practical about your car?
It's small and easy to park.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Hard pushed to find anything about the car I would consider to be a gadget. It does have air con... however it uses so much fuel with it on that it hardly seems worth it.
