Summary
What does this car say about you?
A fairly sensible chap who is on a budget.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it's a fine little car. My wife likes the car, but not the colour.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, has been reliable, cheap to run. I love the £35 per year road tax!
What are you likely to buy next?
New Fiesta / possibly Fusion.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,850
When did you buy the car?
September 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from Ebay - it had been a CAT D write-off so was very cheap.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a car that was cheap to run and reliable. My previous car, a Mondeo TDCi had just reached 135k and needed £800+ spending on it to replace flywheel and starter motor - I couldn't justify the repair cost so got rid and bought the fiesta with just 14k on the clock.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not bad, everything feels direct and positive, the gearbox is much better to use than other cars I've driven. The engine needs to be kept spinning above 1,500rpm, otherwise it can get a bit bogged down. Overall a nice car to drive.
What's it like to park?
As easy as it gets.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I've been running the car for over 2 years now. The only problem I've had was a coolant leak caused by a split rubber hose. That was at 4 years old with 50k on the clock.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is a reasonable size.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air-con works very well, and of course the heated front screen!
