Did you get a good deal and why?
In hindsight I think I got a bad deal. The car wasn't in as good condition as it seemed and proved a bit unreliable.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought this car to commute in and also for the practicality of a hatch.
What was the dealer like?
Not bad when we saw the car, though reluctant to allow me to have a test drive. Follow up service was simply awful. Air con never worked but would not cover it under warranty. Clutch went in first week. Cambelt went after 3 months despite being due at the last major service (agreed as part of the sale). Was without use of the car for two months and only sorted after I progressed legal action...

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Mine has 17" alloys and it handles very well. However it does not have ABS, traction control or stability control. Despite this had no trouble with it in snow. Gearbox and clutch are lovely, steering gives great feel and well weighted. But the worst thing is that it is so slow, and engine needs to be worked hard to get at what little there is.
What's it like to park?
The Fiesta is surprisingly wide. The slanting window line can make you think you haven't parked straight when you have. But it is not too bad overall.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Clutch, exhaust mount, water pump, coolent reservoir, coolent hoses, cambelt, front nearside headlight, wheel bearing all broke within 23 months of ownership (21 months of driving it).
What's most practical about your car?
Useful sized boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Stereo sounds good.
