Ford Fiesta (2008 - 2017) 1.0 EcoBoost (140bhp) Zetec S Red 3d Owner Review

I've owned BMW's, Honda's, VW's but this little Ford is the best car I have ever had ! Its sooo much fun to drive, is ridiculously quick for a 1.0 litre but isn't so fast that I fear for my licence. You can genuinely have great fun without doing silly speeds :) The chassis is superb, the road handling and ride are just brilliant, I've driven sports cars that are less fun than this but somehow it also manages to be quiet and comfortable when you want it to be. The engine is a gem, I don't know how they have done it but a 999cc 3 cylinder engine should not be this torquey and refined. Honestly, you can drive it like a diesel and use the plentiful torque or take it up to 6k revs + and hear the great noise it makes (unlike a diesel) Tax is cheap, servicing has been cheap so far (£120 first service) insurance is cheap and MPG is very good - 50 mpg is easily achievable on a long run and even doing short stop start journeys 40 mpg is possible. Interior quality is also good and unlike some I find the infotainment system excellent - it calls the correct person everytime unlike some other cars I have owned and the stereo is good. Faults ? I feel like I'm nit picking but the brakes aren't the best (they work fine and will stop you) but due to the drums at the back they don't feel the sharpest. Erm....nope cant think of anything else, its been totally reliable and even the 5 gears doesn't bother me - its quiet at 80 mph and accelerates really well even then... Really if you are thinking of trying or buying one of these you must, its just a brilliant car !
