Summary
What does this car say about you?
Silver Surfers having a final fling before 'default' Kia's/Dacia's/Yaris' start to look strangely appealing. At the same time words and phrases such as miles per gallon, economical, sensible, and practical weirdly start to infiltrate your everyday vocabulary.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It really does not matter, its totally irrelevant to me so long as you are happy with the car yourself.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, absolutely. If you need to ask 'why' you are loosing out big time and need to get out more.
What are you likely to buy next?
Depends how the next Fiesta shapes up. Plus 208, Clio, Mazda 2 et'al incarnations too.

Yes. 'Middle of the road'. Returning customer.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
On the whole pretty good. Typical large dealer traits but did everything they could within the usual big dealer constraits to make us feel valued without grovelling.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant! Wonderful combination of handling poise, comfort and ability with an outstanding engine and slick gearbox.
What's it like to park?
Tricky rear 3/4 view but small enough as to be better than average overall. Lock with 17" wheels not as good as those with 16" or less.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
So far so good. Fuel pump (in tank) a wee bit noisy compared to old (Zetec S 125) so keeping an eye (ear!) on it.
What's most practical about your car?
Modest exterior diamentions.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Quickclear windscreen & capless fuel filler system. Both so simple, so good.
