What does this car say about you?

Does it say anything? It's so common to see Fiestas on the road driven by all ages and both sexes. I suppose if you have done your research you'll see I've a lot of car there for the money but despite it's good looks, subtly enhanced by the Ford body kit, there are so many around it's fairly anonymous.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They were dismissive when I said what I was buying but pleasantly surprised by how good it looks 'in the flesh' and blown away by the technology packed into it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, but only because I tend to change my car every 18 months for something completely different. I would recommend you buy it though, as you're obviously keen anyway, to be reading this!

What are you likely to buy next?

I keep wondering if the Honda CRX is any good? It'll be one on my shortlist for 2013...

Did you get a good deal and why?

I am happy with the deal I got at Polar Ford Barnsley. Managed to get a large dealer contribution. I feel I paid a sensible price for the car as I wanted it. With the options the original list price that came up was crazy - over £18,000!!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It's got a style and a level of technology normally only found on executive cars!

What was the dealer like?

Friendly and helpful. A little slow actually delivering the car but not entirely their fault as their transporter company went bust meaning my car was stuck on a dock somewhere down South!

What's it like to drive?

The car's excellent. It really doesn't feel like a smaller car. The ride is refined and the diesel is eager without being too noisy. I do a lot of motorway driving and it soaks it up effortlessly.

What's it like to park?

Really easy as I back it in everywhere and use the reverse camera!! If I had no camera or sensors I could see myself struggling as rear visibility through the window isn't great and it's difficult to see extacly where the front stops as well. The turning circle is very very tight though - as good as the old Ford Ka - so if you are good at judging the size of your car it would be a doddle even without the gadgets.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It's been totally reliable. There's a slight creak from the door hinge but I'm really clutching at straws there!

What's most practical about your car?

£20 road tax, MPG (around 50 with real-world use), bluetooth...it's clearly been designed to be practical as well as good-looking.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

What to choose? I had everything on the list! The reverse camera really impresses everyone. Voice control is very handy. I love the full keyless system too although is it worth £500? Can't see there being too many about equipped with it! What sets mine apart from the masses of Fiestas on the road is the full dress-up kit. (Basically the spoiler and skirts from the Zetec S). I get the look of the sporty version and the luxury of the Titanium!
