Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm tight and refuse to spend more than I absolutely must on fuel.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I'm sure they too think I'm tight too, but the colour has gained a few comments.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I 'bought' the last fiesta 1.4 tdci edge and loved it, I love this 1.6 tdci titanium econetic even more. I'd definitely have another.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The last fiesta I had ran on slightly wider tyres and I have to admit, around corners it felt more planted than this econetic does. That said, it is still a very comfortable car to be in. The ambient lighting makes a lot more difference at night than you would have initially thought. It beats down the miles on the motorway with ease and road noise is kept out more effectively on the facelift than it was on the pre-facelift model. The only criticism and it's a pretty big one for me - is the lack of decent adjustment on the steering wheel. The steering wheel is fixed on a diagonal adjustment which means you can adjust the rake and height, but only within certain ways.
What's it like to park?
A doddle - visibility is good, the size of the car is easy to judge and the turning circle is 'ok' - you will find yourself making a few more turns in tighter spaces than you perhaps expected to.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only 3000 miles in, but thus far nothing has gone wrong with it. Fuel economy is good - 65mpg is easily achieved over 550 miles with 25% town / 75% highway driving.
What's most practical about your car?
Most practical is the boot - I'm used to smaller cars and the fiesta swallows large loads with ease. However I would wager it is not suitable for a family bigger than 2+2.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Favourite gadget has to be the DAB radio and SYNC system. Although the latter can be a little temperamental especially with the voice control! You will sometimes need to reindex the attached media device for the voice recognition to function as it should, no idea why. Also learned very quickly that if you're using an ipod or similar you need to use a genuine good quality cable - no end of issues otherwise. Favourite option has to be the colour - candy blue is a gorgeous pearl and suits the fiesta very well. the accessory I missed the most was the fitted rubber mats - the top end velour mats just aren't hard wearing enough - I've already had to replace them.
