What does this car say about you?

That I'm a savvy car buyer and understand that you don't have to pay a fortune for a proper drivers car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

The one's that are in the know realise it's a good choice. My mum thinks it's a bit common but then again so is a Golf.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely. It's easy to drive in all situations, it's comfortable, very well specified and not forgetting......it goes like stink!

What are you likely to buy next?

I don't plan to get a bigger car and I really don't think I need more power. I have a 5 year warranty and so I'll keep it for that period and then see if there is another fast Fiesta on the market.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got an unbelievable deal. An ST3 with metallic paint, centre rear headrest, 12 months road tax and a full tank of fuel for £16,566. The retail price was £20k.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I was downsizing and couldn't resist the chance to own a hot hatch again!

What was the dealer like?

Everything from order to handover was fine. I noticed a few days after delivery that the bonnet wasn't aligned properly. Poor from Ford QC and dealer PDI. I took this into my local dealer who corrected it although not to my complete satisfaction.

What's it like to drive?

In a word sensational. It's fine to drive around town at lower speeds with low engine noise and the ride is fine. It's only on very uneven surfaces that the ride feels really firm but it improves with speed. The chassis is dynamic with fantastic handling and it has quick steering which gives plenty of driver feedback. You can't have more fun for less or for many times more on another car for that matter.

What's it like to park?

Easy. Having previously had a much bigger car, the Fiesta is a breeze. All round visibility is very good.

Have you had any problems with the car?

No not so far. It seems well put together even if the plastics aren't to the highest standard but that's not an issue.

What's most practical about your car?

On the few occasions I need to ferry the family around, I can fit my two daughters in the back without any problems and the boot is plenty big enough for the supermarket shop.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I have added the Mountune MP215 upgrade and the Mountune intercooler, charge pipe and high induction pipe upgrades. The standard upgrade is brilliant with quite a bit more low down torque at lower speeds which means you can often overtake without changing down so often. It also reaches peak power more quickly. The other upgrades improve engine pick up and throttle response considerably without affecting the warranty or insurance. The standard ST is fantastic. These upgrades make it utterly brilliant and a hoot to drive.
