I'd like to think I've been unlucky with the problems - when it's running well, yes

Similar car - if they ever make one, C-Max 2.0 tdci DSG.

Got a very good trade-in on 8 year old car. Discount on C-Max by seeing internet advertised price
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed an auto as wife disabled
What was the dealer like?
Vauxhall main dealer - disorganised - forgot to give me MoT, but warranty service was good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent. Handles well, enough power without being quick. Economical on a run, 50+mpg, but not good on short trips round town, only 30 odd.
What's it like to park?
Easy, although visibility not brilliant. Parking sensors would be nice.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Got stuck in park - new selector mechanism required. Heated rear window failed. Engine / gearbox mismatch that causes hesitation. Not cured by changing EGR valve. Windscreen replaced following stone chip. Various electronic updates to cure slow clock / engine hesitation and false low fuel warning.
What's most practical about your car?
Easy to get in and out of. Loads of interior space for the length of the car.
