Summary
What does this car say about you?
Booooooring... or sensible :)
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Seems very peppy for such a small diesel engine!
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Given the faults discovered, I'm very dissapointed with the engineering Ford applied. I'd hesitate to purchase another Ford
What are you likely to buy next?
I'll go for good ol' German engineering or some trusty Japanese. Currently interested in VW Tiguan or Toyota Rav4

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
May 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a reasonable deal from cargiant.co.uk, particularly when compared with VolksWagen which seem to depreciate slower
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good size for a couple + large dog + camping gear. Good reviews, frugal so ideal for long car journeys. Low road tax
What was the dealer like?
No nonsense, you pay the price you see

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Drives like a regular Focus, enough said
What's it like to park?
Reasonably easy. The wing mirrors are rather small for a car of this size, but parking is not particularly hard. Rear sensors could be handy. The end of the bonnet is hard to see, so not always easy to judge where the car ends

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The car alarm started going off randomly. Turns out it's a common fault with the bonnet alarm sensor, but had to be replaced at my cost. Smells of design fault to me. Again, bonnet latch broke, which meant the bonnet could not be opened. This was pricey to fix, as the front grille had to be smashed. Searching in Google reveals this is also not uncommon with Fords.
What's most practical about your car?
The rear seats can be removed completely. Very useful when loads need to be carried
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The centre arm rest. Something so simple, but it's the most comfortable car arm rest I have used so far. Quickclear windscreen, it's fantastic
