Summary
What does this car say about you?
Says you have kids!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Not much as it's a bit of an anonymous car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, because it's good value and practical, however it would be the diesel as the petrol drinks fuel - we see 27mpg.
What are you likely to buy next?
Maybe B-MAX or new style C-MAX.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,000
When did you buy the car?
December 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Travelled 60 miles to get a better deal as local dealers wanted another £1,000 for the same spec car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
We were looking for a bigger car that our previous Focus and never had a problem with our old so favored Ford. Looked at a few others but found the C-MAX the best value.
What was the dealer like?
Great, gave us a good part-exchange price, no pressure and bent over backwards to sort a little problem.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's like a Focus and drives like one, just a little taller. It does lean a little more than our old hatch, but it is higher so it's to be expected. Find the ride a little hard and tyre noise on the Titanium model is a bit intrusive.
What's it like to park?
Reversing is easy due to the straight rear door, bonnet however drops away steeply which means it can be a little tricky getting out of small spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Parking sensors don't work very well and repairing is expensive.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot size has to be the best thing for the length of the car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Auto lights, wipers are nice be the Sony radio system found in the Titanium spec is very nice.
