Summary
What does this car say about you?
Style conscious, the car looks expensive. My car was built late Dec 2007, so I have the updated interior but the older style exterior which I think looks much better with its extended bumpers and chrome accents.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it, I get compliments all the time. It's an aggressive looking car at the front.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, the car has caused many problems. I've replaced the front shocks, drop links, ball joints, disks and pads, the DPF and still have problems. Most likely a sensor but it's breaking my heart.
What are you likely to buy next?
Alfa 159 / Lexus IS / Honda Civic if I go for used. Or Volvo V40 if new.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,000
When did you buy the car?
May 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
I thought I did, I got it for £3000. There aren't many up for sale around so I saw it cheap and jumped for it. I was the first one to view it, came back the next day and picked it up.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Bargain price or so I thought, in the colour that I wanted "Luna Bronze", I wasn't sure on the cream leather but suits the car beautifully.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Sometimes excellent. Often terrible. Engine problems create driving difficult quite often, uneven idle, lack of power, limp mode, the car often pulls back when you change up a gear.
What's it like to park?
Difficult, and I am extremely good at parking. Much harder than a Mondeo to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
DPF problems since day 2. Rattles from roof where panels were working loose. After a few months it developed and still has an incredibly annoying high pitched squeak from the driver's seat which happens during braking and also there's a rattle coming from somewhere near the drivers right ear but I can't find it. Bluetooth also doesn't work.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is HUGE with the roof up, and a great size and shape with you roof down, I looked at the Megane Coupé Convertible and the Astra TwinTop and both had much smaller and awkward shaped boots with the roof down. The rear seats could do with an arm rest in the middle, I miss that from my Mondeo and previous Focus.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Climate control is much easier to use than my previous Mondeo.
