Dash is simple and chunky. Most of the buttons are oversized, making them easy to spot and use. Ford’s done a good job of placing them, too (we especially like the soothing click of the indicator switch). Latest Golf and Astra have more of an upmarket feel and a wow factor. Designed for mile-munching sales reps, so the seats don’t give you a numb bum after 300 miles.
This is one of the areas that shows up Focus’s age. Plenty of room up front, but tall rear passengers will find the legroom limiting on long trips, although getting three adults in the back isn’t out of the question. However, the seats are supportive and the cabin is light.
