Ford Focus Estate (2005 - 2011) 1.6 LX 5d Auto Owner Review

Bought this thinking it would be better on fuel compared to the 2litre automatic Honda I had before, and more practical and cheaper for repairs - that didn't transpire! I think the manual gearbox would've made a big difference to the driving experience too. Very comfortable, pretty quiet too. Felt very strong and sturdy but had few luxuries and I missed the quality of my previous car. The automatic gearbox felt inferior to the Honda's. Big negative was the problem with the PCB circuitry behind the clocks. This age of Focus are known for poor solder quality which cracks over the years and caused me BIG headaches! I studied the repair process on Youtube and did the repair myself, fixed it and sold the car - I was glad to see the back of it!
