Ford Focus Estate ST-Line X 1.5 Ford EcoBoost 182PS auto 5d Owner Review

I gave it 4 stars as I haven't had the car that long and the descriptions for 4 or 5 stars are not quite right in my view. I would definitely recommend the car but the choose the version carefully is very individual to the type of spec / look you want and how you will be using the vehicle. What I like about my car is its colour , looks , its specifications and its power & drive. Most of my journeys are short A roads to & from work but I also will be using for several long motorway runs , so I probably could have picked a smaller hp but I am a believer in overspecing as when I will be using for Mway trips it will have the available power to use. The self parking takes a bit of getting used to / trusting but it's a marvell and every time I use it it puts a smile on my face. The safety kit on this car is exceptional & again the auto braking takes some trusting and is very different to how I would break and it can also catch you out so be on you guard and be prepared to take over control and stop the car , included in this is advanced cruise control which has a multiple distance settings which are spot on , you can override with a touch of the throttle , but again be aware if someone cuts infront of you really close it will put the brakes on and sometimes quite fearcly, the plus side to this which I have experienced is it can stop you very quickly when someone misjudged the distance and speed and pulls out of a side road. The only negative I have at the moment is that it dose not show the gear selected when you are in D but you can get it to display if you pull the paddle ( auto only ). The car is averaging 33mpg which on such short trips & the weather being cold so all the heated gadgets on & auto I think is good. On a run I have achieved 45mpg. Over all I am very very happy with this Ford Focus ST Line X 1.5lt petrol ecoboost auto in Desert Island Blue (the best colour in my opinion).
