Ford Focus Hatchback (1998 - 2004) 1.6 LX 5d (98) Owner Review

In their own words
My car has been in the family since 2003 but I became the owner in 2014. I just love driving it and maybe more than anything else, just looking at it. I keep it clean and should it need anything doing to it then it gets it. A lovely mint green metallic colour although officially described as silver. There is just everything about it like. I'm in my sixties now and it is my all time favourite car. A rather high mileage now like its owner. She does like a small amount of oil. Not much though. Doesn't seem to burn it and no oily patches underneath so a bit of a mystery. Always passes MOTs without too much being needed to be done. A 'T' reg. Not many of them left now. Never been welded and the only signs of corrosion now are the usual rear wheel arches just starting to get a bit flaky. It's been a great family servant. I still find loads advertised online. Most in great condition and some seriously low mileages to be had. All for under £3000. The majority just over £1000. I hope that when I finish driving it will be with a Ford Focus Mk1. Not too unrealistic an expectation for me now. One final comment. I've tried and don't like the Mk2. It's nowhere near as nice.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
