Summary
What does this car say about you?
Hmnn...that i needed a decent 5 door car .
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
That its a bit "conservative"
Would you buy this car again and why?
Never-boring to look at,gutless 1.6 100bhp unit ,too noisy, too cumbersome, now outdated by sharper mk3 version. If you want one make sure you get the 115 bhp vvt version or at least the 1.8 125 bhp model.
What are you likely to buy next?
Err...well i got shot of the Focus only after 3 months (see review)I now have a ka while a save for maybe an Astra 1.6 which I may buy in afew months. Why the ka?-cus the Focus I had was so bad.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
1.6 100 bhp engine gutless (this model 200kg more than mk1 version)needs at least 115-130 bhp unit to be any use on motorways or hills.Ride stiff and too firm.road noise awful over 40mph.other than those gripes its quite good.Seats quite comfy too.
What's it like to park?
rear vision tricky (hence parking aid) front end a bit of a job to get right too if your not carefull.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Front top windscreen trim loose and wont stay where it should be causing wind noise at speed.car also failed to start for no apparent reason a few times.
What's most practical about your car?
I had a rear parking sensor.very handy in tight spots.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated front screen,rear parking aid,
