Economy
Value
Shop around, there are plenty of bargins. Ford direct a good choice.
Costs
Fog lights get stone chips continously. 4 in 6 months. Ford need to re-design.

On the road
Driving
Not as comfortable as a Mondeo. Arm rest is too small to be any use. Acceleration is good in 3rd or above, 1st & 2nd could be better - 1st runs out very quickly.
Performance
For a Diesel its very good, however I don't get near 50Mpg - averaging 27,000 miles per year, more like 41Mpg unless you can keep it under 70.

Living with it
Reliability
Fuel Management system needed reprogramming at 47K, oil leaks around Crank Case Seperator.
Image
Ok, but no BMW or VW.
Comfort
Driving position is too high - Seat is adjustable along with Steering wheel, but ride can be soft and roll slightly around corners. Air Vents cannot direct heat properly, as they don't move enough. Don't open rear windows when driving, noise vibrabation.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks are good, stereo has removable stick which you end up leaving in as you think that it will break when placed into a pocket.
Service
Service has been good so far, except niggling issue like Arm Rest, Fog Lights and Noise from Rear Windows.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
