Summary
What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family not amused with the reliability issues.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but I would get a zetec with firmer suspension. I would be slightly put off by reliability issues and Ford customer service though.
What are you likely to buy next?
Clio 172, civic type-r or if I'm being sensible, another focus.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The steering offers loads of feel and feedback and in terms of the driving experience, I think it is the best aspect of the car. The handling and ride are also good, but the CL model rolls a fair amount in corners. The zetec is much better. The diesel engine has plenty of torque so motorway work and overtaking are effortless.
What's it like to park?
Fine.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Power from the engine would cut out but it would still tick over. This was due to a faulty accelerator pedal which cost ~£70 to replace. Ford dealer useless and couldn't find the fault for weeks when we brought it to them. It was a friend who identified the problem. The injectors for the engine broke. Cost £1500 to replace. Once again, the Ford dealer was rubbish. They initially misdiagnosed the fault so we ended up forking out £400 for a fuel pump that wasn't broken.
What's most practical about your car?
It is a very practical car and can carry loads of stuff.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
