Summary
What does this car say about you?
Nothing. It's a wallpaper car. There are so many of them out there, and it's hard to distinguish between most models. Nicely anonymous.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Nice styling, good economy and reliability. There are some criticisms about the lack of image.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, Reliable, economical, cheap insurance, and an all around friendly feel to the car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Have bought a Honda Civic :( but that's on another review.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,000
When did you buy the car?
May 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Good deal on trade in, six moths tax, and full service with cambelt change, sounds like a fairly good deal to me.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Price, combined with the fact that it was a low milage diesel.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly, couldn't do enough to help, and when air con packed up, fixed it for free.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Slight turbo lag initially, power kicks in about 2000Rpm, then there's bagloads of torque. Great mid-range grunt for a relatively small engine.
What's it like to park?
Good to park. Positive steering, and the low revs on a diesel make for slow movement and fast correction. Great for tight spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The air con condenser developed a hole, from being stood for some time. Apparently a common fault. Fixed for free.
What's most practical about your car?
The Mpg. Absolutely fantastic. Only visiting the pumps every 4-6 weeks!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric front seat and heated front windows. The two are so close it's hard to choose between them.
