Economy
Value
Bought before huge discounts available so quite pricey and no abs
Costs
Economical and relatively cheap to service. Now buying cheaper East European tyres which seen ok
-
On the road
Driving
Always a pleasant drive and fun to hustle
Performance
TDDi engine a bit short on ultimate power, but pulls ok. Tows a small boat with ease
-
Living with it
Reliability
Only thing to have failed was throttle assembly. Fortunate to break down outside Ford dealer
Image
Common now. Every other car on the road is a silver Focus Zetec
Comfort
One car that I have owned that I have found the seats to be always comfortable. Could do with adjustable lumber support. A/C a must to demist windows. Heated screen fine for frost, but no good for condensation

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, no alarm. Ubiquity means it's not a thieve's target.
Service
Dealers vary. One managed to break the pollen filter box which resulted in leak to passenger footwell. I replaced the windscreen unnecessarily. Windscreen fitter found fault.
