Economy
Value
Pretty good. £7500 from Jennings Ford in 2003.
Costs
Decent fuel consumption and insurance group, but does wear front tyres quickly if driven hard.

Driving
One of the best handling cars I've ever driven. Sweet gear change, sharp, sporty handling. Only drawback is firm, low-speed ride due to sports suspension.
Performance
Enough poke for the keen driver. Can cope well with most demands. The 16-valve unit likes revs.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems in the first six months. Should last very well providing service schedules are kept up.
Image
A great looking car, especially in 3-door form. Ford badge holds its head high against the likes of VW.
Comfort
Comfortable and supportive seats at medium to high speeds, but a tad over firm at low speeds and over bumps.

Security and Service
Security
Very good. Includes deadlocks.
Service
Pretty good.
