Our first Focus was given to us for free by a former work colleague after it was destined for the scrap yard and apart from the usual service items the car has been faultless. We now have three Focus's, a 1.6 & 1.8 petrol hatchback models, the third is a 1.8 diesel estate and they are all brilliant cars. I would highly recommend a Focus mk1 to anyone who wants cheap trouble free transport.
