In their own words
An great example of an excellent Ford. This car has provided me with 5 years and 30,000 miles of mainly trouble-free motoring, and continues to embarrass far more expensive machinery. It drives superbly, corners brilliantly and has a surprising amount of grip considering it's only on 15" wheels. It is also quiet on the motorway, does 40 mpg if you can avoid sitting in traffic, and will still do many mph. A really good car to drive, with well weighted controls, and very little understeer.
Moving onto the interior, the seats are comfortable on long journeys, boot is spacious, and the air conditioning is nice and cold. There is an ample amount of space, even if one has a generous diet. I've seldom been a passenger in the car, but I haven't had too many comfort related complaints from my wife. Non that I can blame on the car anyway...
The Focus is staying relatively rust free, and only visits the garage for routine servicing. I will not be surprised if it does another 100,000 miles without major incident. The only reason I might not buy another mk1 focus is because I had two before this one and it may be time to move on....to a mk2!
