Summary
What does this car say about you?
Understated - bordering on bland unless people know what the ST170 badge means.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It's okay.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. The shape looks a bit dated now and the Need for Speed means I want something with a turbo or a bigger lump next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Jaguar X-Type 3.0 V6 Sport or an Audi TT 3.2 V6 / 1.8 (225)

Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,395
When did you buy the car?
June 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
A lot of kit for the money. Few too many previous owners than i would have wished but sub 50k mileage was good.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Ticked most of the boxes on my wish list at the time.
What was the dealer like?
N/a

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good alrounder. Not too wallowy but not as razor sharp as my old Toyota MR2 - GT which was like a go-kart in bends / roundabouts. Not enough power - although it does have far more useable power (through the increased torque) than the MR2 did.
What's it like to park?
Easy

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Clutch cylinder leaking brake fluid onto the slippery metal pedals!!! £150 to sort. Noticed this straight after buying and hadn't haggled the price down either DOH!!
What's most practical about your car?
Heated front screen. Only used a couple of times but it's so useful (hence why a Jag/ford X-Type will be on the shopping list next time)
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The heated screen. Greeny dash is a bit funky. Remote rear boot release is well positioned too. Anti theft pen stick stereo thing is great - but I always leave it in!!
