Summary
What does this car say about you?
Here is Singapore they are actually a little bit different and so do stand out. Most people buy Jap/Kor/Germ cars. Plus our is bright green so looks quite sporty. A sheep in wolfs clothing perhaps.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it, here in SG most drive much more expensive cars and can't believe it was so cheap, our friends from home think we've gone very sensible having such a normal car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes definitely, but with a bigger engine. Would love the TDI, but no diesel cars here in SG.
What are you likely to buy next?
Happy with this one for now, but if the family extends may change it for something like a Mazda CX7 or 5.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£14,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so. You never really know. We got a good trade in for our Piccanto and he negotiated down on the price too.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed something bigger than our Piccanto, and something with an all day license. Focus was much cheaper than other car in this segment here in SG because most people buy Japanese or Korean.
What was the dealer like?
Fine. Seemed better than most.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It really very good to drive. Smooth and quiet. Acceleration is consistent through out the rev range, all be it consistently lacking. It is very slow, and has to be revved hard to really get it moving. Wish a bigger engine option had been available here in Singapore.
What's it like to park?
Good, visibility is fine, and reversing sensors are very helpful.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Battery needed to be replaced, but to be fair it was the original one, so it had lasted 6 years.
What's most practical about your car?
Decent boot, good size to drive and feel safe, but not be too big for city driving.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Good stereo, reversing sensors. Good gear change and clutch.
