Ford Focus Hatchback (2005 - 2011) 1.6 Ghia 5d Owner Review

In their own words
It’s a nice car to drive, the manual gearbox is very smooth and it handles well, however I found the 1.6 petrol (100bhp) a little underpowered and MPG was slightly disappointing for a small engine.
It has loads of space inside and being a Ghia the interior is comfortable and full of optional extras such as cruise control, auto lights & wipers etc which I wouldn’t expect on a car of it’s age. Sadly though I found the build quality of the interior wasn’t great there’s a lot of plastic and most of it rattles.
Has been very reliable throughout my ownership despite the car having no service history. The only major issue was failed core plugs although this is a common issue with these cars and didn’t cost a fortune to repair. Other minor problems included a broken boot release and sticking passenger door latch.
Overall I think it’s a good reliable car, the Ghia model I had was full of optional extras and there are plenty available for very little money.
