Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think that the car say commuter – a car for the head rather than the heart!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I feel that it is such a boring care no one cares! The one advantage is that no one would want to steal it for a joy ride!
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, I would prefer to have a car which was more fun. If I had to have a commuter car I would go for a Japanese car which would be better equipped and would be a more pleasant environment. I feel that the Focus is not as well equipped or as well built.
What are you likely to buy next?
An MX5 or a Suzuki Swift for some fun. If I need to commute a Honda Civic.

No

£10,000
When did you buy the car?
November 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I managed to get £500 off without too much trouble which brought it down to book price. I also got 2 new front tyres and some mats. I probably could have got more off but it was an okay deal
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was helpful and picked my up from the railway station as I was without a car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I think that the car is good to drive but the diesel engine is heavy and as a result it is not as well balanced as the petrol cars. However, it is excellent on the motorway which is what I bought it for. I find with very careful motorway driving I cna get 60mpg but more normally it is in the mid 50's which is not too bad.
What's it like to park?
I have had a few problems with rear visibility is not great. In general the diesel engine makes the car feel heavy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I have had problems with the tracking and taking it back to the dealer twice. In the end I have resorted to Quick Fit! I also have a problem with the handbrake sticking when left for a few days. However it has been reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
The huge boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The radio controls on the sterring wheel are well designed and easy to use
