Ford Focus Hatchback (2005 - 2011) 1.6 TDCi Zetec S (110bhp) (DPF) 5d Owner Review

Good to drive good mpg nice gear box no clutch problems since I have owned usual batteries replaced new alternator cam kit changed belts etc no rot at all only issue at present is the steering went on it stiff Then came back to normal not sure what caused it but going to garage to be checked hope it's just the rack and not the electric hydraulic pump Which I don't think it is never had this problem before since buying the car Debate on wether I would buy another ford depending on the fault being solved Price of a OEM rack is £960 as quoted recon one £175 using ford parts Apparently this model has a standard rack and pinion with built in angle sensor but ford parts are very expensive unless you have an unexhausteble bank hmm it sticks well to the road and good protected sills and very good exhaust manifold cover so I don't know if it's had a new exhaust system before I purchased it Electrically not had any issues yet? The milage for the year is quite low but seriously thinking of part exchange for some other make when hopefully the steering problem is resolved with out costing a fortune Still nice to drive it loves hills pulls really well for a sport diesel Buying a car research your car before you do looking at there faults and issues happy motoring
