Ford Focus Hatchback (2005 - 2011) 1.6 Zetec 3d Auto (Climate pack) Owner Review

This car has never let me down even with many miles of very hard driving. Biggest problem has been the springs, however, that is not Ford's fault. The problem is because the EU made spring steel manufacturers change how they make the steel by reducing the amount of chromium in spring steel. This makes spring steel more brittle and prone to breaking. At 107000 miles this engine and auto gearbox is still smooth under any conditions. The ride is still fantastic for a car of this age. Current problems is a speed sensor failure on the gearbox causing engine management problems but the result is only slow acceleration. I can truly say this is the best car I have ever bought. Excellent value for money, in fact I have just bought a 2011 model to replace this one.
