Summary
What does this car say about you?
Average Joe Bloggs.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They're all rather impressed with the levels of comfort in it (my mother is constantly asking for lifts and to borrow it!).
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would, it's got the balance right between fun factor and practicality.
What are you likely to buy next?
It's early days yet (I'm hoping to have this one a few years) but quite probably another Focus, or maybe something bigger.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,800
When did you buy the car?
July 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got the deal that was there. I think it was a good deal, certainly the best deal I was going to get from a bloke in a portacabin. The car is in good nick for it's age (9 years-ish, though only 74000 miles) so I'm happy with the deal I got.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
A decent car at a fair price.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was actually very helpful and very friendly. A bit of a Del Boy type for sure though.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I had a 1.8 Audi A3 before this, so speed was not something I was expecting, but speed is something I got! You probably won't win any races but it is far nippier than I expected. The cabin is also surprisingly quiet so it's rather nice on the open road, and small and nippy enough to zoom about town quite happily.
What's it like to park?
Despite actually being relatively large compared to other hatchbacks I've driven, it's just as easy to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I've barely had it a week so nothing has gone wrong yet, but I will update this if ever anything does (as far as I'm aware, nothing has gone wrong for either of the previous owners).
What's most practical about your car?
Lots of little cubby holes. And the armrest is a nice touch (which also houses another nifty little cubby hole!).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It's not exactly a gadget-laden car, but the climate control (glorified Air Conditioning) is pretty efficient, and it has an aux in connection (strangely located in the glovebox) which I think is pretty nifty for a nearly 10 year old car.
