Summary
What does this car say about you?
Family man but not over the hill (yet).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like it and my work colleagues are always borrowing it!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would be happy if I had another one as a company car. Would I buy one? The only thing that lets it down is economy. Forget all the hype about 50 to the gallon, it averages 42mpg. Even on steady motorway journeys it doesn't get much better. My father has one also and managed to get 52 to the gallon by doing 55-60 on the motorways, sticking to all speed limits and changing gear at 2,000 revs. My friend has a 115,000 mile Toyota Carina petrol 1.8 and that gives 38mpg. And petrol is cheaper than diesel!
What are you likely to buy next?
Seat Leon TDi FR150
