Ford Focus Hatchback (2011 - 2018) 1.6 (125bhp) Titanium Navigator 5d Powershift Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Having purchased this model new in 2012 I replaced it with a bigger car, ( buggy space and shopping was an issue for me with the boot space) after a couple of years and an expensive mistake I went back to this shape focus for comfort of knowing what I was buying and cheap maintenance costs but chose an auto version this time. Power shift version is nowhere near as economical as I’d have expected or wished for, even on motorways at a steady 60-70 it’s rather disappointing, around 40mpg if I’m lucky,a full tank will return roughly 260-300 miles at a push. The auto is also very laggy in response, sometimes you go to accelerate and revs go up but the LOOOONG second it takes for it to register is rather frustrating, at junctions etc always need to use sport mode to pull away that little more sharply, my previous manual was far more responsive and fun to drive. When my van was in for repairs I had a Hyundai i30 auto curtesy car which was incredibly superior in response compared to the focus and gave me food for thought for my next vehicle. All that being said it has never let me down nor does it feel like it will fail on me. Trips including (from Essex) to Scotland to Devon to Paris, never caused me any concerns.
How reliable do you find the car?
Starts first time every time, had the battery replaced after not driving it for roughly a month otherwise no problems to report.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
After all It’s just a standard Ford Focus, however it came in more handy than my van when it came to loading up on decking boards, got 2400mm length in with boot closing.About their car
