Summary
What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Nice looking motor.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No way. Bought it purely for fuel economy and comfort as i do a lot of motorway driving, but the fuel economy is a joke and no where near Fords official average consumption. Also, the steering column is too low down and i keep hitting my knees on it when i touch the brake.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something comfortable and reliable with proven fuel economy.

Yes

£0
When did you buy the car?
September 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
I thought i got offered a good deal, but now am having doubts.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Very knowledgable and polite, but forgot a few essential details. When i picked the car up, the windows hadn't been tinted, there was a very large deep stonechip type mark on the front grille and the paintwork on the rear panel hadn't been laquered properly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Drives well on a straight road, has the power to overtake when you need it, but if you put your foot down, watch the fuel gauge drop.
What's it like to park?
Using park assist.... Brilliant. Parking manually.... OK ish depending on the space. The steering lock is really awful, a bus could turn better.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It had a distinct lack of power and kangarooing in first and second gears. Apparently this is a common fault to do with the fuel pump which needed resetting. Also, the fuel consumption (which i am really disappointed with). I can only achieve 39-41 mpg (less than a petrol model). It doesn't seem to matter how i drive the car, that's the best i get.
What's most practical about your car?
It has plenty of space.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Park assist.
