Summary
What does this car say about you?
I enjoy having fun and taking the car on track days where you can really appreciate how good the RS actually is! But its still good as an every driver.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My friends like the RS however many of them are swayed towards the Japanese rivals as they are much cheaper second hand to buy.

Dont need to buy it again! It will take a lot to make me part with mine! Reasonable running and service costs also mean its a keeper.

I have just bought a Lexus IS F, but still wont part with the Focus RS.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The RS is brilliant to drive! Great to take away for track days. Living in the Channel Islands where the roads are small and the speed limit is only 35mph the car is ok to drive around town and in traffic albeit a little firm on uneven road surfaces its not uncomfortable. When I get the chance to take it to the UK / France its very cable of cruising at motorway speeds and feels quite planted. It has plenty of power! Enough to get you in to trouble very quickly! It never really bogs in any gear and engine happyily keeps on pulling.
What's it like to park?
The RS is easy to park as it has large wing mirros so you can easily see down both sides, also having Lux Pack 2 with the reverse sensors and camera it makes it even easier.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
In the 3 years I have owned the car it has been relatively trouble free. When I first purchased the car I had to replace both front suspension dampers as they were leaking. The radiator end tank split, leaking coolant and had to be replaced. The car would go in to limp home mode intermittantly which turned out to be a dodgy cable from the ECU to an ABS sensor. From friends who also own RS's it would seem its a common fault. It's worth checking the service history as luckily mine was still under warranty when the fault occured, however can be expensive to fix if your warranty has expired.
What's most practical about your car?
For a 3 door the Focus RS has plenty of room in the back for rear seat passengers, the boot its also very spacious meaning taking a suitcases etc... for long weekends away not a problem, but at the cost of having no spare wheel.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Lux Pack 2 models are loaded with gadets and have the voice activated sat nav and climate system, this also has a reversing camera and sensors, your phone / mp3 can easily be connected to the radio via ports in the centre console and controled via steering column controls or on the big touch screen.
