Summary
What does this car say about you?
Got too old to drive Scooby's and Evo's. I don't like boys, so a Boxster was not going to solve my mid life crisis.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Impressed. Brother regrets getting his X5!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but hopefully won't have to for a while.
What are you likely to buy next?
Bread and water...I've no money left.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£25,150
When did you buy the car?
November 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Sadly, zero discount on this car anywhere. Bought from a dealer a friend purchased his ST from, and recommended him.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a car that could tour in France, go to the shops...and rally down country roads.
What was the dealer like?
Good service so far.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Everything you read is true. It does wheel spin in 1st and 2nd on a wet road, but I've owned a Golf GTD which did it worse. Handling in corners is near perfect, with mid range torque incredible. Said in the same breath as cars 6 times its price, so that sums it up.
What's it like to park?
Rear park sensors sort parking, all round vision is fine.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only done 900miles so far, suspension noise at the rear, and a knock from the near side front brake while reversing. In for a 1000mile check soon, so these should be sorted...hopefully.
What's most practical about your car?
Drives like a standard Focus when you want it to, and has even more space in the rear seats due to the slimline front Recaro seats.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The accelerator!
