Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not bothered!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it. They are especially suprised at it's mid range punch & the noise it makes.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, like a shot. I'd recommend it to anyone who was looking for a hot hatch.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably another fast Ford. The next Fiesta ST looks good with that new 1.6T EcoBoost engine, as does the 250bhp Focus Mk3 ST.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,500
When did you buy the car?
December 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, due to the good price. He made his profit & I got a great deal. Winners all round.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The 5 cylinder engine. It's much more charasmatic than the four pots found in other hot hatches (e.g. Golf GTI, Megane 225)
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful & knew his products inside out. Got the feeling he'd do anything to help you out.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Stunning. The Volvo engine is beutifully flexible. There's masses of torque low down, so there's no need to rev the nuts off it to make quick progress. When you do push it though, the noise is gorgeous - a throaty, deep 5 cylinder burble. The handling is great - no torque steer which is was expecting. The only negative is fuel consumption - 25mpg in the real world if you're lucky!
What's it like to park?
Very easy. All round visibilty is great and parking sensors help to get into tighter spots.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing so far touch wood.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot, which is suprisingly spacious.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated front windsceen. Great time saving device for those frosty mornings.
