Summary
What does this car say about you?
Hopefully not what my neighbours think.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Well, after two days one of neighbours wrote **** in the dust on the bonnet!
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, overall the drive isn't what I expected. For the power and sport credentials its just not quite there, will look for rear-wheel drive next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
BMW 3/4 series.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£18,500
When did you buy the car?
June 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Bought when these cars were scarce on the second hand market but paid, for a 6 month old car, £6k less than list as this was from a Ford Privilege scheme member.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a faster, better handling, better looking car (than a VW Passat) but needed to compromise on practicality for a family of 4, my wife wanted a smaller, manual car that wasn't an Audi or a BMW.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent. Sales chap was nice, business manager was very good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Initially it felt great, having just owned an under-powered family saloon. 12 months on it disappoints me; yes there's plenty of power, and torque steer, the handling is good but it doesn't seem to live up to my expectations - I was hoping for better and I don't find myself engaged with the car.
What's it like to park?
Easy
