Summary
What does this car say about you?
I want nothing more than to get from A to B with the reassurance of a big brand name. I can1t be bothered or am not interested in researching my car alternative choices.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It moves people from A to B in relative comfort. It's just a small car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
If I want small ford I1d buy a Fiesta. If I want a medium sized family Ford I'll buy a Focus. This car is pointless really.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something VAG.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 1.4 petrol is sluggish and slow to accelearte, however it is happy enough to cruise at motorway speeds when it gets there. Fuel economy is quite poor at low 40s mpg. It handles quite well to be fair, nicely weighted steering, the ride comfort is pretty good, although wind noise is high. Generally feels planted and stable in normal driving conditions.
What's it like to park?
Tight turning circle, rear visibility isn1t brilliant though thanks to the high back end. But it's only a small car so easy to judge where the corners are.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Reviewing a 3 year old hire car, so has probably led a hard life. To be fair only problems seem to be a few interior trim weaknesses - the rubbery door handles are worn, glovebox latch is broken and few trims around the seats are falling apart. Mechanically there is a tinkling noise from the engine.
What's most practical about your car?
Decent interior space inside for a small hatchback and good sized boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
With cheap ford it1s usually the Quickclear screen but this doesn't even have that.
