No Euro NCAP crash test result yet, but it gets ABS, dual front and side airbags for all models and traction control on Ghia. There’s remote double central locking for security, with an alarm standard on Zetec and Ghia.

The seats are heavy and awkward to remove. The load area isn’t very big, so if you’re carrying luggage, the rear two seats need to come up. But once out, there’s lots of space for boxes or large objects. Rear two passengers may find the back a bit of a squeeze.
