Summary
What does this car say about you?
I need space to carry everything, even the things I haven't yet thought about.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all think it's the perfect family car. It does everything you need in everyday life. I have recommend to our friends with families, however a few can't get passed the "people carrier" tag.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, this has been one of the best cars we've owned. As a family vehicle it does everything brilliantly, from children's express, to grown up living. It is specified with almost all the options making it user friend and as future proof as possible for our family.
What are you likely to buy next?
We expect to keep this car for at least 5 years. When we come to change it will either be the next generation Galaxy or a Land Rover Discovery (There's talk of the children getting into horses).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£27,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Fantastic deal. This was pre-registered by the dealer. We purchase the car with delivery miles (16) on on the clock. Saving upwards of £12k on a new model.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
We needed to replace previous family car. With a very young immediate family (as well as extended) we need something spacious and practical. With the ability to fit the grandparents for day trips and holidays etc.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent. Very helpful, friendly. Great end to end service from purchase through to service.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great drive. Initially I was unsure if we'd chosen the wrong model and should've gone for the 2.0 TDCI 163. After 18 months of ownership I no longer feel the same. At no point has the car felt underpowered, even when fully laden with 7 adults. It's extremely comfortable, quint and more than quick enough for what it needs to do.
What's it like to park?
My wife was concerned with the size of the car initially (5metres long), but with very accurate front and rear parking sensor and the rear view camera it is a very easy car to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Unfortunately, yes but minor niggles. The USB port wouldn't work with IPOD which was resolved by dealer. 1st service noticed corrosion on the air condition pipes (fixed under warranty). Drivers window one touch facility stopped working, and handle on one of the 3rd row seats broke. Fixed under warranty at 2nd service. Although again dealer noticed small oil leak which was fixed under warranty. This is a low mileage car (2 years old 11k) so these issues while small are disappointing.
What's most practical about your car?
A very long list, space, luggage capacity. The ability to comfortably seat three 6ft+ adults across all the 3 rows of seats. Multiple storage areas in doors, roof cubby hole etc. Rear DVD to keep the children entertained. Excellent and accurate Sat Nav.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear DVD keeping the children and grandparents entertained on long journeys, holidays etc.
