Ford Grand C-MAX (2010 - 2019) 1.6 Titanium 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Best family car ever perhaps. Had it for 10 years from when the kids were 1 and 3, so it's seen all the action a family can throw at it. This was the titanium version with family pack so great load of extra features such as internal blinds for kids, cruise control, tinted rear windows, automatic boot opening, 230V plug socket in the back for charging the kids devices on long journeys, electric windows all round, etc. The boot is perfect for luggage and an in prompt' changing room for kids after a day on the beach. The extra 2 seats at the rear have been used when Auntie and her boy come to visit every month. (Note. Hardly any boot space in this mode, so this car is not a true perm' 7 seater, hence if you have more than 3 kids go for something bigger). Worth also noting that the rear seats split 40/20/40 and can be moved forward and back and tilt back for a little snooze. The tables on the back of the front seats are ideal for a British summer picnic with the kids, i.e. it's raining. The heated windscreen is great on frosty mornings and the dual climate control keeps everyone happy. Stereo is good and the phone interface is easy. The car handles well on urban streets and doesn't roll about and we have done a couple of trips down through France without incident. It's not a powerful car with only a 1.6 petrol engine but as long as you are not in a major rush it will get you there in comfort and a bit of style as the titanium model does look nice. The car has been hugely reliable hence I'm scared to trade it in and might just keep it for shifting the family about on beach/muddy days and DIY projects, and get myself a smaller run around for local trips.
How reliable do you find the car?
In the 10 years I've owned the car it's never had a problem so next car will have a lot to live up to. I've had to replace the battery, and of course other items that wear out such as brake pads but that is it. Never broken down apart from flat battery and puncture! I have serviced the vehicle every year so perhaps that has helped.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
My previous car was an Audi A4 and growing family meant I needed something more practical. The kids have both started secondary school now and the car has served the family well. When the kids were smaller they loved it when we moved from the A4 to this car as they could see out. I loved it as the high rear seat position saved my back from perm damage lifting those car seats in and out!About their car
