Economy
Value
We paid £5400 brand new (not pre-registered although that would have bothered us). At the time it seemed like an excellent buy but you can now get better cars for not much more (e.g.. the Fiesta).
Costs
One new tyre in nearly three years can't be bad. The dealer threw in the first two services as part of the deal, so VERY cheap to run, but poor in terms of depreciation.

Driving
Excellent suspension setup, easy to drive and all the controls are in the right place. Solid handling even at motorway speeds.
Performance
Zippy around town but not a motorway car by any means - it'll sit at 80 for a bit but feels strained.

Living with it
Reliability
Very good. Not a single problem. Starts first time every time.
Image
Looks daft since I'm quite tall and not a prestige car, but good image. No-one's going to say "hey nice car", but is that important?
Comfort
One area where I'd say it's not very good. The seats in particular are only really suited for 30-40 minute drives max. Very little support and the seats are low, causing strain on your back. The main reason we're selling this great little car.

Security and Service
Security
No problems where we live - who's going to steal a KA??
Service
Big Ford dealer not particularly great service, but no problems with car, so I didn't get a chance to see how good they really were. Forgot to finish the second service properly and initially put the wrong plates on the car!
